At 4.0 speed, it's one of the slowest weapons in the game. Paladins leveling, in particular, might consider taking a side trip to pick this up if they are getting tired of their old faithful Verigan's fist (http://www.wowhead.com/?item=6953 ).

This item is very usefull for druids as they have always the same atack speed. This is not changed by weapon attack speed.

This weapon is AMAZING for leveling a shaman. With a windfury proc, an equal level mob can go from full health to dead or almost dead in under a second.

While wielding this at lvl 33, I was attacked by a 31 hunter while I was fighting another mob. I frost shocked the hunter to keep him from running away and then hit him once with this baby - he was dead instantly after the windfury procced! Pretty much one-shotted him!

Wow I love the stats of this weapon, haven't ever seen one in the AH, and with that low drop % and only coming from 1 mob I don't think I'll be seeing it anytime soon. looks da bomb though :D

I've seen a Paladin friend, around lvl 36, hit for 750ish white crits followed by 476 SOC crits self-buffed. Very nice burst damage for Ret Paladins, Arms Warriors, and Shamans for sure.

this weapon is sometimes hard to obtain i myself am having trouble getting it for my shaman which im lvling atm

This item cannot be enchanted with Outland-enchants since the 35 item lvl requirement is about equip lvl than item lvl. Some items that are from quests that has no equip lvl can be enchanted by item lvl.

Outlands enchants DO NOT work on this weapon, I just tried it on my feral druid twink.

I contacted a GM to get clarification. Items that say on them "Requires level X" have to have X over 35 for outlands enchants. Only items that dont specify a required level, such as quest rewards, go on the item level.

You can still put crusader on this - which you should; the slow speed will cause it to proc *often* as crusader is on a proc-per-minute basis

A terrific weapon, even at level 39. Beat's out Thornstone Sledgehammer in my opinion owing to the higher top end damage.

The thing that might escape first notice of this weapon is its very slow speed. There is only one weapon that is slower in its level range: http://www.wowhead.com/?item=5256 (3.00 speed 1 hander)

If you have this your best enchant will probably be crusader as BC enchants cannot be placed on it (<level 35). Crusader will benefit from the very slow one hander attack speed and give a higher chance of proccing per swing/hit.

26 melee attack power on a one hander is very good for a dual wielding fury warrior. It's a shame that this doesn't have a little more dps or required level of 35 (for BS enchants). Even so it makes a very good one hander for a dual wielding warrior, especially if you can get the best melee one hander in the 30-39 level bracket in your main hand: http://www.wowhead.com/?item=9427#dropped-by

Hello there folks.

Once I saw the stats on this mace, I made up my mind. I started camping Lo'grosh on two different servers simultaneously. He spawned twice on both servers over a period of 3 days. On the fourth attempt, he dropped the mace. On the other three he dropped the Boulder Pads twice and the boots once.

I learned the following from camping this guy

- He can appear in any of the spawning points in the cave
- He has a % of spawning in any of the other Ogre's spawning points
- He is on a 21-32 hour timer, meaning you can probably only get him once each day, unless you stay up all night or have no life.
- 3 of the 4 times I found him, he had already spawned. The first time, he spawned right in front of my face, almost "in" my character, so to speak.

If you're going for the Mace, I have only one advice. Keep at it youngster! Eventually, he will drop it - but it will take a lot of time. I got lucky and got it after 3 days. I dont think thats too much, I know some ppl who missed it over a course of 2 weeks. thats a bummer.

This weapon is Gr8 I love it I use it a lot it drops from a rare elite guy called lok'grosh. Got my weapona at level 32 and used it until level 40 I know people who use it until level 56+ :P

Ok, that's a fair call, if you really REALLY want this weap, but if I can just point out, if you actually QUEST for the time required to get this guy AND this drop, you won't want it anymore, as you'll be lvl40+.

My take on rare spawns is if I can find 'em, great! If they drop their famed items, all the better! But I refuse to waste time poking about for them when that time put to better use is far more effective than the possible chance of the find/drop.

This weapon is truly a nightmare,it's so slow and has such a high damage that pallies and shammies can be terryfying when wielding this weapon of mass-destruction.
Though i'm not sure about it's price.

After my 13th kill of Lo'Grosh, I have yet to see this mace. I'm getting quite annoyed with the drop rate. I'm starting to doubt it will drop for me, or maybe I'm just very unlucky.

EDIT: 15th kill of him on and off for 3 months I got my shiny new mace to level my shammy with.

This weapon is good for all two handed melee classes

Pallies will get epic SoC procs, druids get the strength and stamina, and Warriors get massive Instant Attack damage

Quite a long time ago when my shaman was lvling in enhancement i got this weapon from AH for just 8 gold - i know i was lucky but i wasn't sure how that would work out for me. I was lvl 31 and just started to lvl in stv. My guildmate (bs) made me a chain enchant which was something like 20 haste to improve speed on this mace. So as soon as i was 32 i equipped this beauty and started farming tigers for Hemet Jr. those have around 1200-1250 hp. 3rd mob i wanted to kill suddenly dies instantly. I look at the log and see the combined crit from wf 1225. that was quite a pleasent shock so i vendored my old Rock on a stick and used this all the way to lvl 40

Looted this bad boy about 5 mintues ago been hunting it for over a year and was very disappointed when I saw they took him out but saw he got put back in game killed him twice in less than 24 hours got shoulders first time and mace second =] gonna put it to work on my level 33 warrior gonna be fun!

With the changes to battleground brackets, this now becomes a viable twink weapon for a level 34 warrior/paladin. It's got way more top-end than anything else for the 30-34 bracket.

Previously this weapon was passed over in favor of Pendulum of Doom, the other, better 4.0 speed weapon for 39 twinks, which itself was nerfed recently to a level 35 item with 3.90 speed.

No, level 34 twinks may not exist yet -- but be the first!

I would like to confirm that this item still drops as of patch 4.3.2. Even tho the drop rate seems much lower than what wowhead claim it to be. Camped outside his cave with an alt and got it after 20-25 kills
